OK. Somebody has simply added the Harley Davidson emblems.
Ford never officially made a Harley Davidson edition Excursion.
Had production of the Excursion not ended in 2006, they probably would have sooner or later.

think he means don't put TOO much pressure when turning locked hubs....
if'n it doesn't give without giving it a LOT of leverage, don't force it and it will need to be taken apart...
Guys.. try this. It works much better than pliers that can actually break your hubs. It's just a 3 foot piece of pvc pipe bought at Home Depot for $3. Cut it to a length around 18"-24" then grind out a place big enough for the hubs to clear. Fits perfectly and you would be amazed at how much torque you can put on your hubs without any damage to them. I now have my Ford tech using one of these to free up hubs.

I would go with j-dam's post and throw that silly thing away.
I must have a vacuum problem or something. I can manually lock them and have 4WD all day. If I do it automatically, it works for a short while and then when I least expect it is in 2WD.
Just trying to keep guys from damaging the hubs further by using pliers.
I truly appreciate your contribution to the forum but after being a mechanic for a long time I see no harm in gently using pliers and it is not that hard to fix the problem. You can take it apart or soak it (do a search). I have written posts on correcting it.
