Remote start on 07 F-150
I want to instal a remote start on my F-150. Found a unit made by excaliber that works off the stock keyless entry key fob (lock unlock lock and the truck will start). It comes with the bypass module also for the factory alarm and the unit is made for the F-150. Anyone installed this unit on there trucks? Any issues to know about? I put a remote start on a Grand Am and a Dodge Ram a few years ago. Was a lot of wiring but well worth having the remote start for winter.

I second the recommendation for a 2-way system. That way, if you are at the end of your range, you know for sure if your truck started or not. Helpful when you are inside buildings and planning to go outside. I started my Mazda from the 24th floor of my office building the other day, and I knew it started. Also many 2-way systems have handy features like telling you the interior temp of the vehicle. That can let you know if you need to start it at all.
I've got a CompuStar on my car, and I am very happy with it.
