As you saw in my post, I figured out they shared the same receiver. Where were you a few years ago?

I had my DEF heater replaced under warranty as I had the code for it. Forget what it is...
Anyways it affected the remote start because it did not work. That's what the dealer told me. Just a heads up.

Should not have affected the remote start....not sure what you issue is Dave....the two systems are not even closely related....did you check the cluster to see if remote start got turned off for some reason while at dealer?
Kodiak.....naw....not changing brands....i bleed Dark Ford Blue....sold the 5th wheel and then sold the truck....going to look at a gas burner 35' Class A on a Ford chassis....and buddy has a 97 ranger that might buy if he does a little work on it so I have a pickup handy....

Did some testing for a better understanding of some of the points made, drivers door open, RS worked, all doors open, RS worked, hood popped but not open, RS worked, hood fully open, doors open RS worked, doors closed / hood open RS did NOT work

I don’t get any reaction at all!
I just bought my first truck yesterday, 2017 f350. The listing from the dealership shows the truck was purchased new with a remote starter. But pressing the button twice on the 5-button keyfob does nothing — not even the double horn that it did’nt start. I looked through the menus for something about it to enable, but found nothing. So how can I tell if the truck is even equipped with remote start like the dealer printout says it should?
Or if it automatically comes with remote start fo4 all trucks having the 5-button keyfob, then how do I enable it?

Mark, the stock key fob has the "instructions" on the back. For the 2015 it was press the lock button and then press the start button twice. Have you checked your owner's manual?

Mark, the stock key fob has the "instructions" on the back. For the 2015 it was press the lock button and then press the start button twice. Have you checked your owner's manual?
