Anyone have some pictures of door panels you've made, or have seen?
Right now I'm trying to made some door panels for my truck, but the door handles are killing me, no good way to get around them, I was thinking about just cutting the door handles out and getting a flush mount kind.
im planning on doing some kinda custom panels pretty soon. the only real difference i have planned is real wood in the area around the speaker, dodge charger window buttons and a two tone charcoal and grey combo. im going to use the chrome trim to break up the colours im not sure if im going to leave the trim chrome or paint it. as for the door handles i plan to leave mine but they are just rod actuated so you could very easily change it something custom or from another car. what exactly are you going for? i nice custom look or just something that works?
if i had to guess id say thats a toyota lol. the one problem i see is the fact that our door panels wrap up to the window, where as that pic is just a flat panel wrapped in fabric. the door handle shouldnt be too hard you just have to get creative. toyota pickups have an interior handle similar to the one in the pic. Pt cruisers have a pretty sweet handle. my uncle is using one from a pt in his hot rod
im sure theres a way to secure the anti rattle strip the the sheet metal of the door just space it out the correct amount. or secure it the the sepperate piece you had planned
