I thought about doing that, but was just looking for an easier solution. I would rather not run it for 15 minutes when all it needs is 5.
For me, I don't worry about it....unless I have been pulling hard, and it's only a 1 to 2 minutes.

Ihave an astrostart, not a ford remote. There is a way on mine to set temp protect for cold startup, extend remote start time, be able to pull key and not shut off, by using combinations of buttons. I can also shut it down when i walk away with the remote if i dont want it to idle for that long. I wonder if you can access a manual for your remote start, there should be a way to do all these things using a combination of remote buttons and programming. Anyone get the manual that goes with the remote start?
