It'll probably be January before it's ready to go back in. Kept finding more things to do as we went.
So far the pre-reinstall list incluides:
EGR work
head studs/gaskets
replace the puleys we determined needed replacing
rebuild the turbo or go with a Powermax whatever is determined necessary (hopefully the Powermax)
glow plugs
The eating brownies and cookies was imperative for his usefulness, he was in charge of holding the lift down with the engine on the other end of it. Without the extra weight in him, there is no way he could have done it.
I left about 8 I think, and the engine was out and on the stand. Pete and bryan were fabbing up a brace for the front end of the engine. Didn't come out butter smooth or anything, but it came out nonetheless.
Brian and I left around 10-ish after messing around with some pictures, BSing, letting Brian play with the welder some, and completing the front brace on the engine.
Andy if you could stop by next weekend to help tear down the motor I'd GREATLY appreciate it.
