Should've had the outriggers down and boom out to get the rear of the loader over and away from the parked car. From there the loader could rescue itself if not the tow truck would have a straight shot to pull on it from there.
That wrecker is an old style stick boom and it has no outriggers. All it has are feet hanging off the tail board like an old 750 and on that ice they would've been no help. I agree with the camera man should've put tire chains on it right where it was. Use the wrecker to pick the rear up and then use the bucket to pick the front up.
