ummm.. lets see..

Rods become your first weak point at 1200hp. Then crankshaft issues from main cap walk. So a girdle becomes a must.. Then your engine is pretty sold. I would think if your chasing 1200hp plus then you are running custom pistons designs so that would fix the next weak point...

The main thing to have to build a durable engine is alot of money.

I would love billet rods but can't justify the $2500 tag

I'll take a look at them. But iirc there ceramic coating is junk... I can't recall exactly but when I was looking for coatings I beleive there was some bad news about there ceramic coating not holding up. I was gonna use swaintech for coatings but i'll check them out.

Here is a great read for coatings... http://www.aera.org/ep/downloads/ep9/EPQ110_34-40.pdf

and here is some info on your diesel head project...

Thanks for the great read. Carl at polydyn is a cool guy,he has a built 7.3 daily driver. He's taking over the development of the alum 7.3 head. Wants to make it a two piece design. He coats anything and everything.
