Good luck with the mods bro. All I can say is make sure you cover the ground real good under the tranny. It gets messing under there. I dont forget the tranny filter holds a fair bit of oil to, like I did lol.
Or do what i did, send it too ya tranny man, fark the mess, besides i'd have to wash and moisturise my hands again and do my nails aswell...
Dirty job juth dirty..
i've done 2 valve body's on my lightnings before, and they don't have drain plugs. We would always switch to SD pans for future changes.
My buddy will be doing this one though. He's gonna pick it up monday morning. Synthetic Oil Change, Fuel Filter, Maybe coolant flush, tranny change and filter along with the VB
When I registered here years ago, someone had my name. Only forum on the web where i'm not 'beefcake'
Ah, ok.
When I first saw your user name, I wondered if it was the same guy. IIRC, it's Terry, right?
Anyway, nice score on your truck. Just be careful bro, the 7.3L forum has a tendancy to help you spend your money by proxy, because of all the different mods we all talk about that cause us to love our trucks even more!

Yes, Terry,
Nothing new, i'm in the process of building a shortblock for my new 5.0 already!
Dont forget about the guages with that tuner. And I'd reseach tuners a bit and see for yourself that a custom tuner is the only way to go. It'll way out do any off the shelf tuner there is.
Goodluck with your mods. Seems like a great truck though I couldn't see the pics in the other thread.

What is the tuner of choice? any tuners that monitor without having to buy gauges?
Tuner of choise around here seems to be DP Tuner. Tony Wildman, or Power Hungry Proformance. All great custom tuners. There are tuners that monitor things for you but I dont believe they are as accurate as actual guages with there own individual probes and wireing etc... Plus guages look sweet!
