OK, its time to replace shocks. I've narrowed it down to the Bilstiens, but I'm not sure which model to get. Do any of you guys have experience with one or both? Is there a performance differnce between the two?Iis the 5100 the same as the B6 just a lil longer?
Is your 2003 F250 at stock height or does it have a lift kit? The B6 (or HD) is available for stock suspsensions. The 5100 is available for lifted suspensions (2"-6").

Leveling kit only, still has stock shocks, so I assume either 5100's or HD will work. Just curious if there is any difference other than longer travel.

I just ordered the Bilsteins HD. I think I spent less time thinking of a name for my kid when she born then deciding what brand to get. I got them from Tire Rack.com.
Regarding installing them, what are the chances of snapping/ wrecking any bolts? I plan on soaking them with PB Blaster a few days before but wondering if the use of air wrenches would be too much. Dumb question probably but I'm working with two ripped rotor cuffs and kind of limited of cranking power. The truck has 62k on it.
12/4. update: I put my HD's on and a big difference in ride. The front ones are a pain with the stem as I read. The drivers side just wouldn't loosen anymore and had the nut half way up. I gave it more Blaster spray and got out the sawzall and hooked it up. I gave it one more crank to see if it loosened it up before cutting. I ended up snapping the rod. I thought I won't be needing the saw now. Too bad the other side didn't do it. With 62k on them they were easily compressed too
I have a question about the 5100's for those of you that know. I have 2009 F250 4X4 stock height, camper package. The 5100's are suppose to be for lifted trucks. They have a rear 5100 that is for "0-1" of lift, so this one should fit the rear of my truck no problem. Now for the front. My truck sits level from the factory due to the 4X4. Without 4x4 the front coils are 12.5 inches. With 4X4 the front coils are 14.7 inches. So this is a gain in height of 2.2 inches which pretty much levels the truck.
So heres the question with having 4X4 and the 2.2 inches higher than stock 4X2. Would the front 5100 applications fit. Or are they saying that you still need to lift. The Bilstein recommended height for the front is 2.25. I think I would be fine, just wanted to get someother opinions.
Sorry if this is hijacking someone's thread. Just did not want to start a new thread on the 5100's since there are alot. But none answered this specific question.
