I have a 77 F100, and I don't think the adapters that jem44357 indicated above will work for my year. Between the carburetor and manifold is (for lack of a better term) a "smog spacer". I have completely removed everything attaching to the spacer. The problem is that the is an extra "hole" on the manifold that goes into this spacer (it is for the now bypassed EGR). These adapters do not look like they will fully cover this hole. This is the reason I have not removed the "smog spacer entirely and just mounted the carb on the manifold. Any ideas?
I'm in the same boat as you. I pulled off the carb to rebuild and tossed all the emissions crap in the nearest dumpster. Now I need something to address the egr port in the intake manifold. I'm working on a spacer that will cover this hole. Another thought I had was an allen pipe plug like this one.
I'm also looking forward to seeing how this 2V adapter thing works out.
I have some 300 parts available:
Clifford 2 to 1 carb addapter with a 2v carb mounted. carb would require rebuild.
3 stock 300 intake manifolds
2 stock exuast manifolds.
1 new stock 1v carb (used one month) available once my performance parts arrive.
Shipping would be from western Canada.

Here is my "under a buck" solution to the egr port in the intake manifold
