I've seen 4bbl intakes for 300's from Offenhauser but does anyone make 2bbl intakes for them? I got a 79 F-150 4x4 with 4spd w/ granny gear and a stock 300. I just put a 2 1/4" single inlet dual outlet flowmaster and chrome 3" tips on it. I wish it would have a little more pep. Would a 2bbl make a difference in hard acceleration?
Thanks,
Jeff
look for clifford performance on internet to find all sorts of go fast goodies for your engine. you can also find other intakes on later model trucks. maybe even fuel injection.
I am currently running a clifford manifold (water heated) with a holley 350 cfm 2 bl with a 4-2 adapter. Stock cam.
Works great - more torque than the 450 cfm 4 I started with (and passes emisions!) but not the top end. Of course the 6 does not have much top end any way and I don't push it that hard so what the heck. I am getting approx 15 mpg combo driving.
Many people have used the holley 390 cfm 4 and swear by them - was too $ much for me at the time.
I expect you could do the same with an offy manifold - those that have offy's also had upgraded cams so I can't say how good they are stock compared to the clifford.

What style of 2V carburetor are you using? Is it the type you see on a lot of V8's?
