Hi everyone, I am havin rear break problems, New shoes, new drums, and the noise their makin is a thump thuimp thump, slows when vehicle slows, (Im thinkin the new drums are warped) when i installed the new drums ther was no noise, three weeks later there is the thumping, does anyone have any other thoughts, Thanks Keith
Try installing a set of new wheel cylinders...and while doing that, replace brake hardware, and the shoes should have some type of warranty, exchange them as "defective" while they are out. Also, as said before, double check the lug nuts after about 10 miles of driving. Also bleed them really good after installing the wheel cylinders
the wheel cylinders are what distributes the brake pressure evenly to both shoes, as well as controlls the amount of force being applied. Also check your self-adjuster and adjuster cable
Shoes were put on wrong ?
Brake hardware heat fatigued and worn out ?
no, theres only one way these shoes could go on, and all the hardware still had paint on them indacating there is no overheating, nothin had any wear marks, thanks for the the thoughts

You can still mix up the primary shoe from the secondary shoe.
Or there could be a pair of needle nose pliers in there!!! oh it happens, but I, I mean whoever it was was a really young man then. In a hurry working by droplight to get ready to go from MD to SC in the morning. Luckily? We, I mean they made it and were hauling a very large load of gravel for my, I mean their Uncle when the pliers reappaered.
