who knows what kinda damage they did to get them to stay on your roof or what kinda fire is waiting to start because of the bad connections.

and yes I did let them know

I would just go OEM for these if I had to do it again

I hve since siliconed and taped all the mismatched connectors and have only had the paint peeling issue
Now that sounds like a crappy kit. Thanks for letting us know what the problem was. I will remove them from my list of potential sources.

Well I highly doubt they are going to shortcut or install anything that would cause issues. They install cab lights for every truck in this metro city area, so they know what they are doing and if something was amiss, then they surely would have told me something. Esp since their name is in stake...hehe. But if it does then they can always buy me a 2011 KR model.

the recon plugs will just come undone but won't pose a fire hazard

what they used was a light bulb base on the harness that was meant to receive a two prong bulb and then twist into a housing the light have a whip and a plug that mimics the base of a light bulb there are five of these and the fit is loose and the base just dangles inside the cab I hope they improved it and the peeling paint issue on the smoked ones

[I was looking for some pics but found this ! it shows exactly what the issue is and maybe a fix or better yet the way it should be made
