97 5.8L Headers
I'm trying to put Flowtech headers on my truck. I planned on the A.I.R. injection but t have a line that i believe to be the smog pump coming off the back of both exhaust manifolds. I need to know if these lines can be taken off and just capped.

The whole air injection system can be removed if you're not going to use cats or opt for an aftermarket cat without air injection. I suggest you remove all the plumbing and attached valves, the two control solenoids for the system are next to the coil and these must remain electrically connected but the vacuum lines between them and the valves must be capped.
