Trailer Brake Controller
How do I install a trailer brake controller on my 98 f150? Do I need to install this manually or is there a company that can do it? How do I know which type of controller I need?
I've also heard that on some trucks there is already a connector for the controller under the dash... how do i know if I have that?

The controller that I would buy today is the; Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller - Proportional Tekonsha Brake Controller 90195
The wiring converter for your truck is; Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Land Rover Vehicles Tekonsha Brake Controller 3035-P
Your truck should have the connector for the harness located under/behind the dash on the left side of the radio.

I got to looking under the dash and there are existing holes where the owner before me had the controller mounted. All the existing wiring is there where he had a fifth-wheel system installed in the bed.
Looks like all I'll need is the brake controller!
