well with lots of help from the forum I changed my oil cooler and hpop the ball blew out just like you guys said so my ? where did the ball go oil pan I drove 20 miles before taking it apart so did it go to the oil pan did not find it on the top of engine also could I use permatex grey on the hpop cover? 2004 f350 2wheel drive 125,000 miles
well thats what i'am thinking do you think it will come out with oil changes? had the oil changed just before I tore it apart also the connection on the ipr is facing towards the front of the engine should I twist it to the back or is it ok facing the front? looks like it will be in the way of the intake and again many thanks to all you guys I can't tell you how much I have learned here.

Got me curious....What Ball are you referring to? Is this a 04MY and earlier models only?

At some point there is a machine port in the pump that was being sealed with a ball bearing for a plug. The ball would pop out rendering the pump "useless". It could be repaired by tapping the hole for a plug.
yes the ball is from a 1-12-04-build date engine,the ipr valve was facing to the back of the engine when I screwed the new one in it faces the front can I rotate it to the back or will it damage the wiring to rotate it?

Thanks cheezit thats what I needed to know if I can rotate it with out hurting anything it would hit the intake the way it is now. could'nt have done this job with out the help of the forum and all the great info on here. Hope I don't find the ball the hard way hopefully it is in the pan and stays there or comes out during oil changes.
