My 77 F250 4x4, manual transmission, has the same fuse box as the one in Steponit's post except the #9 spot is blank (just the space but no terminals).
I have no power to my blinkers.
Tested the turn signal switch as per the Ford shop manual and it checked out good.
4-ways work fine.
Back up lights quit working.
Have power in the right wires up and down the steering column.
Have no power to the turn signal flasher in either direction but the flasher checks out ok.
I haven't been able to determine which fuse space is used for the turn signal.
Anyone know why mine is different and ideas of where to look?

Turn signals are number 11 B/U and emergency flashers are number 8 EMERG; could be why you have flashers and not turn signals. Give me a little time and I will post a pic from the service manual and from my owner's manual. I need to scan my owner's manual to show you the fuse information. Once I have it scanned I will post it for you. I checked my truck which is also a 77 F250 4x4 and it matched what my documentation shows...numbers 6 and 9 are blank.
Ok. Yep, that was it. after I removed that wire the radio stopped lighting up. The fuse was completely broken anyway. I replaced a handful of the fuses over the weekend. The guys at the 2 Advanced Auto Parts stores that I visited were pretty much useless.
I have ordered a replacement radio and speakers to install so we'll see how this all goes. In the near future I'll go ahead and replace the whole wiring harness. I'm pretty confident that I've only scratched the surface on the electrical hiccups.
Here's a pic of the new shiny fuses...(hope this one is a more reasonable size)
