I Need An Alternator!
I strongly recommend Mechman Alternators
MechMan.com - High Output Alternators, AGM Batteries, 12- & 16-volt Charging Systems for Car Audio
Highest quality and best customer service currently in the market for aftermarket alts.
I run a super high output in my trucks that put out well over 300 amps. I could go on about the system, but I doubt it would be well received here

I'm 45, but 25 at heart. While I wouldn't be thump-thump-thumping like I used to, I do like a good quality sound system with deep bass.
I'd love to have a set of 12W7's in my truck!

I'm the same exact way, I don't play any bass bumping music, but classic rock and metal sound great on a good system.
Sometimes it is nice to have the extra throttle in the low end to scare off the other bumpers in traffic

here is 2 examples of what some people have called a waste of a perfectly good truck

Same here. The only bass I want to hear is the ones made by Neal Peart's drums and Getty Lee's bass guitar.
I always thought dual alternators was a reliability thing..... like an ambulance having dual alternators and dual batteries so if one of them breaks, they're not left stranded on the side of the road with a patient in the back.
that and their equiptment needs more power too i bet, them things look like lasvegas on wheels
I installed the 200 amp model last week. The alternator itself was simple to install but the wiring had some glitches. First of all the positive bolt on the back of the alternator is larger than stock. So if using the original cable you'll need to drill out the ring. The other problem was mounting the secondary diode bridge. The box for it is fairly large and there isn't a place that it will easily fit. I wound up making a bracket to offset it from the adjacent wheel well top behind the air filter housing. I needed a 29" battery cable from NAPA to reach. An extra few inches would have been better. For the negative hookup I just ran forward to the LH battery.
So far it works like advertised. Voltage is slightly high (14.1 volts vs. the 13.8 spec) but that is actually a help for my equipment.
