CPS Recall?

The dealer I went to said they just throw them in the trash even if they are good. They did not change out the cps they just laid it on my console for a back up. I told him a few things why I did not want it done and he just said that it was hard to believe. I really dont think these guys care and some maybe cleaning them up and re sale. Hmmm. No efense to anyone but just let it be. You could alaways go buy one from a parts store switch it then go to the dealer so you dont keep getting those dame recall letters.

There was a seller on ebay that had a buttload of used ones too, Ed. They sold 'em for $10 bucks a pop with a no-hassle guarrantee.
I bought two of 'em and when they arrived, one CPS turned out to be non-serviceable. They sent out a replacement immediately, no questions asked.
I then bought another one at a later date, which turned out to be a dark blue CPS, not an original black one, and they again sent out a replacement, no questions asked.
I ended up giving two of them away, one to Nolan (which quickly crapped out on him) and one to Pete. Pete's has worked for quite a few miles, but I think it's starting to give him problems now.
