1969 2x4 to 4x4 Conversion
I am new to this forum and have a few questions regarding my build.
I am going to convert my 69 F-250 from a two wheel drive to a four wheel drive. I have picked up a complete 76 F-250 4x4 chassis with drive train and axles which I am planning to drop my body onto. One of the questions I have is that my existing transmission is a FMX and my engine is a 352. I would like to convert to a C6 due to better parts availability. I can pick up a C6 with 40,000 miles on it for under $200.00 however, it came off a 351. Does anyone make an adapter plate to make this work?
Next and I guess it should have been first, has anyone had any problems making the two wheel drive to four wheel drive switch? Will I need any extra parts other than what I will have with the 4x4 chassis
Thanks for your replies.
Mike

As far as the tranny, I would find a C6 that would fit the 352. They are still around but difficult to find.
