Have a powerstroke as well and basically just ear adjusted it as the timing mark is a painted line on the harmonic balancer pulley and it sounded good so just plugged the spout back in and runs good. This is an infrequent driver and could use new plug wires as it is.
Power stroke is a diesel and there is no timing to adjust.
This is a 90 and timing was really off, perhaps exhaust gasket leak as well contributing to the scenario although unsure as it would be a minor one. There is no marks on the harmonic balancer pulley and actually has a white painted line for tdc.Turned the motor a few times inspecting the pulley for marks and have none.Loss of power being the primary concern.Replaced the distributor a few years ago and has loosened up since it was set then.

I honestly thought i didn't have any marks on mine either until i took a wire brush to it and got rid of a lot of the rust, then i took a marker and marked 10* (or whatever you want your timing set to) so it'd be easy to see with the light.
