Front brakes frozen?

Is it possible for the front disk brakes to be frozen. The calipers, and pads are in great condition. It is not the back brakes. We have torn them apart and they wouldn't stop if the tried right now, they need to be adjusted.

well to my knowledge you cant adjust the front brakes on this truck. the whole term "frozen" is throwing me a curveball, because i am uncertain of what you are talking about. for instance you problem could be in the caliper itself, wheel bearings, line issues, or a stuck or frozen caliper slide. could you clear it up a little?

Check to verify that the master cylinder piston is moving according to spec and that it is not frozen or partially frozen in the bore of the master cylinder.

I recently had a caliper lock up completely. Chances are if its not applying, its something else in the system. There's a lot of pressure moving the pistons, its more likely to apply and not release than it is to not apply at all.

Pretty much seems like they are stuck applied. We ended up dragging the passenger front wheel in till it broke lose. Both me and my dad are thinking the calipers need to be replaced.
Brake lines are good, not sure when they were replaced but they are all newer pvc coating hardlines. Master cylinder seems good. The back brakes will work once they are adjusted, and they actuate and return correctly now.

Hope this all helps.

yep calipers.. i had a 91 f350 crew dually lock up the left front wheel one day for no apparent reason. big problem for me was i knew it was tight cause she was pulling to the left but couldnt get out of traffic so i ruined the rotor too. till i got pulled off the highway they were real close to being on fire.
get you some new calipers that will fix you up.

Calipers for sure.

I toasted a new set of pads, but I think the brand new rotors survived.

My rotors should be fine. Just drove it out the driveway and maybe 30 ft up the side street. Got new pads already if need be. I'd hate to replace the rotors, have to pull the whole dang hub off. Not fun.
