In 94 there were 3 engine options. NA idi (m), turbo idi (k) and 94.5 had a stroke. (f) vin codes.
Why couldn't it contain tuning for split and singles. It could read a pcm code to tell what year truck it is. I've heard superchips just change fueling on a 7.3 and nothing else.

You are correct. You could get a standard IDI with no turbo, a IDI with a turbo with an automatic trans only, and a power stroke in the later half of the year.
Well at least I can use it as a code reader, some day I still plan on doing Rosewood stage 1s.
