Tuner Question?
My question is:
Am I supposed to be impressed?
A buddy of mine bought a 02 for his wife, and it had a 95-03 superchip programmer with it. Well she wrecked it a while back, so he took the program out of it. Today he gave it to me and wanted to know what I thought. From what I under stand is that Superchip is kinda a cheap generic tuner. But I was expecting something.
It didnt change a thing! l I put it on the high perf setting and I swear it didn't change anything. Boost is no higher or faster than before. I thought maybe it was conflicting with the 10k mod, so i took that out, still nothing. So what is the point of these tuners if they dont do anything?
My truck is sitting with 150 gallons of diesel in it, a bunch of tools, 20 gal of hydrolic fluid and some other crap. So probably about 1200lbs of stuff in the back.

I have the superchips 1705. Its for a 94-03.....which i dont understand cuzzz wernt 94's non turbo??? Oh well it does a little bit for my 97. But My 2002 F-450 is a DOGGG without it. So i mean it does wonders on a manual.

Hell, I think all the IDI's in 94 had turbo's too.
Anyways.
I don't see any programer having programing for a single shot AA code and programing for AB code injectors as well.
All the chip will really do is act like the Resistor mod for you, and try and spray as much fuel as the injectors will allow, if you have stock injectors that is.
AB's are bigger injectors, and the programing is most likely for them. While what is on the programer you have I believe just means that its usable in all 7.3 DIT engines. Thats why It recognizes your truck.
You'd be better off with the resistor mod and the FPR mod on your truck.
Sell the programmer for a 99-03 truck to somebody and use the money to buy a good chip for your truck and see the difference.
