Grille for my Excursion
I would like to find a replacement (05 plus) painted grille to fit my 04 X. I've seen some recently that seem to be higher priced than I remember. Funds are tight, but timing is good. Anyone have suggestions?

I bought the basic argent (grayish-black) grille off of craigslist and had it painted by a body shop. Total cost of $175. You could do the same thing with the '05 model you are looking for, but you will need to do some trimming of the grille to make it fit on your '04.
If you are not inclined to do it yourself, the link from VaSheriff is the best alternative.

I am doing the 05 grille upgrade in my 2000. A little Christmas present to myself. I the found the 05 chrome grilles for $75. And yes I will need to do a little trimming to make it fit. I am having to go to the dealership for the new emblem, $30.
