Pic Request: Argent(Silver) Grille

I would like to see a picture of an Argent(silver) grille from a 1982 - 1986 Ford F150 or Bronco.

I can't decide between a chrome grille or the Argent grille for my 1985 F150 with the chrome/black headlight doors.

Thanks!

Thanks, but that picture is so small I can't tell if that truck has a chrome or argent grille.

Is the Argent grille from the factory? I thought they were all the same.

My dad's 1986 F350 has a nice and shiny grill, my 1982 F100 either lost it's chrome from the weather or it's just different.

I've never taken the time to learn to do it either, here's a thread I found about it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...-pictures.html

Argent was just the fancy way of saying "silver/gray painted". There were painted inserts, both in gray and black, as well as chromed inserts for 82-86. Gray was base, chrome was the fancy option, and black was XLS "Sport" option.

All Lariats used a chrome grille just for your info.

Argent was the base model, but chrome could be ordered instead of, etc...

Thank you, Chump. Those pics are exactly what I was looking for!

Very nice close-ups of the two grilles. They don't look all that much different from each other at a distance, but up close you tell. The argent grill looks like it probably belongs on a plain Custom model.

No problem. You'd probably like the look of the chrome much better on your Lariat. The chrome ones blend in with the surrounds and headlight bezels much better than the argent does. I ran downstairs and took this one last pic since it has the black headlight bezels like yours.
