Sounds like you need a longer deer season, or a longer doe season. I hunt in Gates NC and we kill them before there old enough to cross the road. Mmmmmgood.

I think I'll just stick with the grill gard I have:

It's not very often anyone hits a deer in my area.

Maybe pull over and shoot one off the side of the road.

There are hunting clubs (deer) all around Ville Platte, and VERY seldom does someone hit a deer on the road. Usually if they see one on or just off the road they pull over and get a rifle out.

Not many deer around with a bunch of outlaws all over the place.

Hopefully they get caught doing it, and fined heavily!

Game warden set up one guy.
Put a decoy (target) deer on the road in a curve. He was hidden behind the trees after the curve.
Saw some lights coming through the trees from the opposite direction. Lights stooped and the guy shot the target.
To say the least he was screwed....shooting off the road, out of season. He could of took his truck and everything, but I think he just took his rifle and left he with a ton of fines.

Theyve got those mechanical deer around here also but the bad thing is they allow so many farm tag permits its impossible to track down whos illegal and who isnt.

June 1st is the opening day for "night hunting" in my county. Does and yearlings only no bucks.
