all set except for bolting the bed on, fixing the oil leaks from the valve cover gaskets falling apart, and putting the lower plow bracket back on.
and those are the all year tires.
it actually pushes better with those 36's than with pencil tires, and no weight required. as it sits, it tips the scales at 8900 lbs.

Oh, and cute-looking truck
thanks. it will look better once i get the new cab on it and it is all one color.
it sat for the past 5 months while i was prepping the frame for the bed swap, that is why it was "a little low". plus, i think the kids drained a bit out of it, cause the last time i looked, it had 1/2 tank.

anything, any time, any where.
that is the reason for the body swap. it did 5-6 too many deep water recoverys years ago in Atlantic ocean salt water. i have had the headlights under water 3 times.
and it worked in a federal superfund site for 3 years, driving through a 3 ft deep sulfuric acid contaminated swamp to get me to my dozer.
in 22 years, i have replaced 5 sets of brake lines, and 3 oil pans after they rotted off.

How did you stop it from sucking water in, especially in the deep - did you have some sort of a snorkel on it?

pure luck, and a high air intake. i eliminated the stock intake when i put the banks turbo on it in 89. and plumbed the air intake to the back of the hood near the cowl.it would get a cowl induction type intake from the rear hood seal being taken out.
it was a lousy setup, but it worked for quite a few years before i stopped doing stupid stuff with the truck and put the intake back to the front.
So free powder sugar for everyone? But does it not get dirty laying on the ground like that, do you wash it after you collect a bucket of it and before you use it in the kitchen?
