Drop Pitman arm question

i need a drop pitman arm for my ford but they only make a 2-3 inch drop for the truck but i was wondering if the one listed for a 78-79 ford bronco would work because they make a 6-9 inch drop for the broncos and f-100/f-150's? but my truck frame is a 79 and its a f-250 so basicly i am asking is there a diffrence between the two? thanks guys!

the steering boxes are different from bronco/f150 to f/250 so i would assume the pitman arms would be different also, although i cannot say for sure. But if you have enough lift to need a 6-9 inch drop pitman arm, I would probably suggest going to crossover steering.

you could always do a drop pitman arm with a drop drag link.

How big of a lift do you have that you need that big of a drop pitman arm!?!? check with broncograveyard I know they sell 4 inchers...and if you have too, "hyper" is right you can also get a drop drag link to make up the rest.

I put crossover steering on my 78 f250 and if I remember correctly I used a f150 pitman arm so I could index it straight back for the crossover. You can build a kit for less than $600. 75f350 has done it several times and helped me out a bunch.

with 10" of lift cross over steering is the only way to go.

Holy crap 10" superduty springs!!! Crossover is the only way your going to get it right. With a drop pitman as big as you will need the bump steer will throw you in the ditch instanty or rip off the steering box.
