pitman arm?

I just traded my 96 f150 for a lifted 79 f150. Has a 4 inch lift but it dont have a drop pitman arm? Is this something I should change?

Yes , what type of steering linkage do you have ?
the Inverted Y type suck , change it to a cross over type
