Now can you tell me where this is located and what it looks like?

If I unplug it and then the truck starts then its that?

Now what if I go to the truck tomorrow morning and it starts up without doing anything?

its in the tech folder that I suggested you look at.
its on the right valve cover, its the only sensor that goes thre the valve cover on that side. it has 3 wires and next to it is the gpcm.

Alright I will test that out tomorrow and see what happens.

Hopefully its that, that sounds like its an easy fix, I hope?

If I do unplug that and nothing changes what do you suggest I look for next?

I did read that article but I do also like to be able to talk to someone about it also.

You have been much help

Two necessary resources - both easily found through Google:
6.0L Bible
6.0L Coffee Table Book (as cheezit mentioned, it is also in the Tech Folder)

On '03's and early '04's, yes - but on your '06 it's on the passenger's side valve cover. You need to look at the "2005 6L Bible Update" link in the Table Of Contents for the correct component locations for your Model Year.

Well I unplugged the icp sensor and it still did not start.

Also when turning the key waiting for the glow plug light to go off and I don't hear that buzzing noise it usually made.

Would taking the radio out put the truck into some kind of safe mode?

Well I now know that it's not the icp or the hpop. The relay under the hood on the right side of the motor looking at it is not working. If we pull the first relay on the left side does not have power going to it if we pull it out with the key on. If we jump it the truck starts right up. Any ideas?

You need to check the FICM, FICM relay, etc. because it's the injectors that make the buzzing sound at start up. Also, check your fuel pump if you can't hear it. If the cigar lighter isn't working then the OBDII port/ DLC connector probably won't work because of a blown 10a fuse that I think is listed as cigar lighter in the manual. Don't remember the fuse number off the top of my head. Sounding more and more like electrical problems here.

ficm relay is the grey one. under the hood iirc. to check the ficm there is a bunch of threads on it. use the search function.
