I have outlook express. Is this something to do with the internet provider or a computer problem. My internet other then the email works fine. I have no idea how to remedy this. Right now if somebody sends me an email I will not recieve it. This is the first time I have had this issue in all the years I have had my computer. I usually can figure things out but this has got me baffled. Anybody out there can help me with this. What should I do first?

What do you mean you need a new one?? If you cancelled your email account then that's the problem.. If you reset your password then try retyping it..

This would be an issue with your ISP, but could be on your PC..
First contact them to make sure you have the right username and password.. Maybe they updated their system and messed things up..

Internet and email are two different things..
You connect to the internet then you can do things like goto web sites and send/receive email..
When you email you have to logon to their server before it allows you to send ro receive..
If you didn't make any changes then I suspect your ISP made some.. It happens all the time.. Verizon is notorious for doing crap like that..
Comcast actually kicked me off with lame excuse saying I was sending spam. Maybe someone took hold of my cpu (robot) but I really really doubt it as I am a security nut but anyway I switched over to gmail and love it alot more.
Just another option
Don't forget the possibility that someone got your password, logged into your email account, and then changed the password to their own choosing. This can happen if your wireless router is unsecured, or if you carelessly use wireless hotspots. If this is the case, think about what personal info may be contained in old emails within your account.
I hope you simply have a configuration problem, but be aware of the above possibility.
I have a friend who just LAST WEEK had someone set up an account on gmail using his name. Then, the imposter started soliciting donations from people using my friend's name. How the thief was able to get his e-mail list is another issue.
while anybody can set up an account using a variety of similar sounding names ie: hanklin_yahoo,etc its always best to think security. Additionally, when forwarding emails and as a courtesy to others, its always a good idea to remove past recipient email addresses from the forwarded email. I see multiples of emails forwarded where you have to scroll way on down past the OLD recipients simply to get to the message. MOST of the time, I dont even KNOW who these people are and dont really care. This is a great way to spread problems to unsuspecting individuals, because NOW, in the forwarded email, a person has ALLLLLL these other email addresses that they can "play with", attempt to hack into, or send out erroneous information to.
