I wouldnt bother with having them put a pin switch on the tailgate. get a 2" hose clamp and put it around the barrel of the tailgate hinge, it will block the slot that the gate slides off of until the hose clamp is removed. most tailgate thieves dont carry a 8mm nut driver with them, so it sends them down the road to the next truck they see.
I didnt get the tailgate switch, but soon. they are pins they recommend.. like 30$ he said.
The shock sensor really doesnt work on the body. i hit it hard under the driver mirror and nothing. i set it to 15 on the remote and still nothing? any other ideas?
Live with it.... If the shock sensor "works" then its going to have a ton of false alarms and get annoying.... If you must have it adjusted higher, ask the shop, they can adjust the actual sensor.
