Custom Cab's have a horn ring, Standard Cabs have a horn button. Bronco's all had a horn ring. Falcon/Comets came with either, depending on the model.
All: 1961/65 F100/250 4WD; 1961/68 F350/600; 1966 F250 4WD used a four spoke steering wheel-all with a horn button.

1971/77 F100/350 steering wheels are two spoke, use a vinyl horn pad/switch and are the same as 1974/77 Bronco & 1975/77 Econoline, except 1975/77 F100/350's & Econolines with Speed Control.
Regardless of what steponit claims, the steering wheel used with Speed Control on 1975/77 F100/350's and Econolines is different than the non Speed Control steering wheel.

D5TZ3600A .. Two Spoke Black Steering Wheel / Use with Speed Control only / Fits: 1975/77 F100/350 & Econoline / Obsolete
And...D5TZ13341B .. Turn Signal Switch / Use with Speed Control only / Fits: 1975/77 F100/350 & Econoline / Obsolete
I was going to replace my steering wheel wiring because the turn signal cancel cam won't cancel. I can across this old thread and I have a 78 steering wheel on my 74. Am i to believe all I need to do is find a 74 steering wheel and everything will work again?

Same 2 spoke steering wheel: 1971/77 F100/350; 1974/77 Bronco; 1975/77 Econoline except 1975/77 F100/350 & Econoline with Speed Control.
1973/77: Three different T/S switches: A/T; M/T; 1975/77's with Speed Control.
If I don't mind the different look, will a 67-70 steering wheel interchange on a '75 column? No cruise, floor shifted manual, no tilt on the '75 column?

3 spoke 17" steering wheel using a horn button or ring:
It's my understanding that parts interchange relates to the models/years that a specific part was actually used, as you've given above. My question is could a different part number fit and function as the original despite the non-original application? I'm curious because one of the earlier posters had indicated that a 67-70 steering wheel would fit onto the '75 F250 column. I suppose the question relates to the steering shaft diameter, spline count, length for mounting, and horn adaptability. Agreed, it would not be an original-style interchange, but could it physically function without modifications.
I appreciate you helping me with this, numberdummy.
Sorry thought this might help others.
So swapping out the entire columns is the best way I would assume if you want a specific style or year wheel, found this out trying to install the Leather wrapped Ford Sport wheel into the 75 SuperCab. One question as I don't have them here right now, but is the tilt auto column the same on the 4x4 as the 2x4?
