Adding cruise control.......

Can someone tell me how to add factory cruise to my 2005?

I am hoping it is as simple as swapping the steering wheel and having dealer turn on cruise in the PCM.

You don't have to change the whole steering wheel, just remove the blank and add the switches. Then have the PCM reprogrammed. There are Youtube videos on how to do this. I was going to do this when I had an '04 but never got around to it.

My 05 also has a switch on brake pedal, aside of the brake light switch, to turn cruise off when you have to brake.

Ok so to update this thread, I just got done with this and can confirm for anyone else, the 2004 new body, thru 2008 are for sure wired. It is as simple as popping in the switches where the blank covers were, and having dealer reflash the PCM with cruise enabled. Thanks ford for making this simple!

2004 Heritage (older round body) is NOT completely wired. The steering column, and cruise servo wires are intact, but the master cylinder switch, and fused circuit in fuse panel is not present. Screw you ford!!!!
