Anybody ever have any experience with installing lower planetary gears in a C6? 10% lower 1St gear and 5% lower 2nd gear. I would like to install these in my next rebuild but I'm not sure if they would offer me anything over stock.
My F350 4X4 has plans for a 460. Its got 33's on it and the diff gears are 3.55's?
I don't rock crawl, race through the mud, or tow a 5th wheel. It does however have the higher diff gears (they are NOT 4.11). My future plans (along with a built 460 w/head work) include a locker and a snow plow.
The E4OD is where the lower gear planetaries come from? I might be able to score a core for pretty cheap if it will have all the parts I need to stuff into a C6.
The complete kit from PATC costs a bit more than what I would like to spend.
From the little research I did on them, I think they do. Not sure exactly what all you can use out of the E4OD and what else you may have to find to get it all to work.
