And will lead to premature transmission failure. You at least need a standalone module and a throttle position sensor to make it work properly. It'll shift for now, but you will burn that transmission up.
Baumann makes a stand alone controller for the E4OD, been using one for 5 years now on my carbed 90 F250. Also, Holley makes a TPS sensor that mounts right on the side of their carbs. No complaints about either.
