My german saw wouldn't start and had the same trouble with it again yesterday (4 months later).
The 361 is a fickle little SOB of a saw. Good runners when they aren't being picky though! Clean the carb out for starters, they are really sensitive to old fuel. Get some fresh mix, check the plug and go from there.
My personal saws are an 044 and an 026, my work saw is a 361.
