Hey all. Was riding around in a chevy all day... Don't kill me lol. Rented a u-haul truck to move 90% of the things out of my grandma's apartment, sadly she wont be going to back to her apartment again, she is in a nursing home, and will hopefully go into assisted living, she is slowly getting better.
It was one of the chevy vans, 3/4ton. Had a 4.7l v8 i think? Only 7000 miles on the clock. Really was no slouch. Interior was very conservative but got the job done. Can't say i have any quality complaints. Still much rather had a e series or a super duty truck.
Tanner, I drive either a chevy 3500 with the 4.7l v8, or a chevy 3500 with the 6.0 v8 for work. I carry close to a thousand pounds regularly, and don't have any problems at all. I would still rather be in a Ford though.
Thanks Andy. She is getting better. I'm hopeful. She is 89 so it can be a bit tough. She has bad eyesight, and hearing. I wouldn't with out a doubt question weather she is almost blind.
Josiah, i'm honestly impressed that the gm stuff isn't as crappy as i think. I've just seen countless problems. But, i doubt they are nothing that isn't fixable. Most problems I've seen with my aunt and uncles vehicles. They had a Chevy Corsica 94' that we ended up getting for free. Never sure what the problem was but, we got a Grand Cherokee to replace it. They also had another gm car, not really sure. I've learned that they don't know crap about cars. They got rid of a good 2003 dodge caravan. Supposedly head gasket issues. Only had @150,000. Cheaper fix then buying that new ugly full sized gm crossover they got.
Still much rather drive a ford. Their build quality is better even to current gm, and they go the extra mile especially with the trucks. But, every vehicle can have problems. But i know how to fix my fords.
wow its a full house in here! must be a boring saturday night for all? i just got in from dinner at the in-laws, now its time for bed.
