Unplugging the EGR valve won't help you a bit. You're going to have to replace the EGR cooler and the oil cooler.

Very likely the EGR cooler is leaking, probably because the oil cooler is restricted and caused it to overheat. Smell the smoke and see if it smells "sweet" like antifreeze.

300 for oil cooler parts, buy a bullet proof egr cooler, look for links to web site. around an 8 hour shop time (50 -85) an hour. put on a coolant filter, this is a must!!!!!

Its not that hard to do the whole delete yourself. Including the oil cooler. there are so many people on here to help with any info you might need. The best thing i got out of this thing is i know now a lot more about the engine. Look in the tech folder

Do it yourself, I just finished doing the EGR block-off and new oil cooler took me a while but saved a ton of $

Don't keep running it that way, you can do a lot of damage!

I would not drive it that far. Coolant could get into the cylinders and could hydrolock it.
