4.9 Vs 4.2

ok, the VIN is IFTEF15Y1SLB51035,( how good is this transmission, expected life ect..) what other car manufacturer's does ford own?

im not good enough to translate the vin number.. but if you go on ford.com it has links to all the companys that it owns. the mazda transmission isnt the greatest thing out there.. i have one.. 2nd is on its way... and my truck has 141000 hard miles on it..

The VIN doesn't tell you a thing about the tranny. Inside the door jamb is a code on the buld sticker. If you post that code under "trans," which will be a letter, then we can get somewhere. Most likely it is the Mazda M5OD, as that was the manual tranny in most of the light duty manual tranny trucks.

i got an efi i was lookin for intake manifolds and **** like that... but its mostly all for carbed.. um i forgot the freakin web address.. could some one post it in here???
