F150 to F350 rear blocks, and quad shocks

So i leveled my 1996 F150 2 inches so now the rear is down a quarter of a inch than the front, i measured at the wheel wells. Now my factory rear blocks measure 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall. At school there was a 1995 F350 there so i went and took a look at the factory blocks it had. They measured 3 inches wide aswell but 3.25 inches tall . Has anyone used these before in their F150? i tried looking for aftermarket blocks but i dont know what im looking for

My next question is i need new quad shocks up front. I went on rockauto to buy some kyb shocks but am confused on the part numbers. Can we use the same part numbers for both shocks on each side for aftermarket? When i called local parts stores they had a separate listing for front of the axle and behind the axle.

Thanks

Not sure about the rear f-350 block, however my 86 had quad shocks the fronts were longer if i remember correctly. So yes the infront of axil and behind front axil will be differnt PN. i hope i undersood your question!

I believe the front wheel arch is slightly larger than the rear, so I don't think the rear is really 1/4 inch lower than the front, more likely it's still a tad higher. Besides, if you or anyone else can tell by eye that either end is 1/4 inch higher than the other my hat's off to you! I'd leave it alone.

^^^WHAt he said^^^ you have to measure the top of the top body line far an accurate measurement. Or park on a completlty level spot and use a level on the bed to see which end is higher.

For the quad shock i believe the coil spring bucket is different for a quad shock vs a dual shock

For the F350 block.... you will need longer u-bolts and MAY need longer shocks

OH one more thing i also put a 2" level kit in my f-150, i think it did bring it up 2", but after 4-5 months the front settled down maybe a 1/2 inch so you may be just want to hang in there!!

Yeah, but I don't think cadillacmob used springs. I think it was just spring spacers.

If you still want to check the after market give this a try: Leaf Spring Block Kits - SummitRacing.com

Edit: Although, after looking these would all raise the truck more than you would want.

That's just what the truck needed. It looks about perfect now. Where did you end up getting those 3" blocks?

i bought them at a local off road shop, long story... but i have an extra set also, if you want them . They only cost me $50 with tax and everythig. Then i went to a local spring shop and had new u bolts made, that cost $40 so the back cost 90 to lift and the front $120. Not bad i think
