I got an 05 f-350 with a 6" lift and 37s. I need to put some bars on the rearend and wanna know if anybody has pics of ones that they made. Its a 4 door short bed so if you have that how long did you make them. thanks
well im not gonna be pulling it or anything like that-but i do pull alot of trailers and i haul a 25 foot trailer with my 10,000 pound mud truck on it. So i just want to eliminate axle wrap.
Two companies I know of build decent bars , (Pro comp , Rubicon Express ) . I"m looking to install a set on my truck , with heavy loads pulling long 6% + hills can cause rear leaves to flex to much . I thank I will have the bars made with rubber bushing at axle end and Heims end at the frame mount. That way when the springs cycle the bar will not bind .

If that's all you're looking to do I wouldn't bother trying to reinvent the wheel by building your own. You'll end up with more money, labor, and hassle than it's worth. Buy it and be done in nothing flat.
If you intend to ever do any medium to serious off roading just be aware that ladder bars generally kill any axle articulation you may have had, not to mention the serious reduction in ground clearance.
go to a local truck/tractor pull and get some ideas off those trucks. I have seen a ton of different setups on diesel trucks that look like it would be easy to build. Just some DOM tubing and some HEIM's ought to do it.

{,,,,, While not trying to better the wheel , just controlling axle rap, and your right about axle cycle, when you fab up these bars they need not bind when therear axle moves up and down while the torq is increasing thoughout the torq band of these powerfull Diesel motors . and with single wheel or both cycling together it has to flow with no restriction at all . I'll do pics on the ones I"m making for mine and my buds Dodge duelly . The first set will be made from 1.25 DOM tubing with 2'' rear bushing and 1'' heim in front . Same theory as front steering geometery , front axle, tierod, draglink . They all have to move indepently as that front axle moves up and down . Its alot of mounting pointes that need to move in different movements and yet not bind up . Pro comp makes theirs to mount under the axle and hangs the front under the frame rail . Mine will mount ontop of ubolt bracket with the front end of bar to the front spring perch mount . This will limit spring rap all together, with on binding when the axle cycle up and down . And by making the front mount with a Heims joint you can fine tune the setup , the same way you wound do with multi trailer axles (their ajustable link arms). My only other mix in this is my Firestone air bags that will have to be fabbed into the mix as well . Sorry for the long thread , please let me know what you think !
