There's a reason the 6 needs a cooler.

The difference in gears between the 5/6 are minimal. I doubt You'd see 130 RPM drop in OD. It takes more HP to turn the 6. So it's a wash.

The reason for a cooler is probably the increase of power going through the transmission, decreasing the drivetrain loss ratio, increase of load capacity and other design criteria. I highly doubt they put a more inefficient transmission into a newer, more efficient vehicle.
