Work-ready F-250 Rolls Up to the ‘FTE’ Marketplace

2003 Ford F-250

From the thick off-road tires to the revamped 7.3-liter Power Stroke V8, F-250 crew cab rocks the job site with its presence.

All sorts of Ford trucks and SUVs find their way into the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace nearly every day. Some are projects, some are ready for the show circuit. Yet, more than a few work trucks have also been offered for sale in our forums. Some of those trucks have a few custom touches to make it stand out from the pack of fleet rigs, too. We’re more than happy to present them to you, in case you’re looking for such a beast.

In fact, here’s a 2003 F-250 we happened upon the other day, and it fits the bill of a cool-ass work truck from corner to corner.

“Crew cab long box, Lariat package,” writes the seller, forum member hav24wheel. From there, he lists everything he’s installed under his ownership.

What does the F-250 have? The most visible change is the long bed being exchanged for a work bed from Bradford Built. The diamond plating and black paint already toughen this super-tough Super Duty. You certainly can’t beat the utility and versatility the work bed has to offer.

Under the hood, the seller modded his F-250’s 7.3-liter Power Stroke V8 with a whole host of goodies, starting with a TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip. The chip alone allows anyone to control the power with a turn of a knob. The turbocharger has a new compressor wheel for more power, a high-performance oil pump keeps everything smooth, and the radiator and intercooler from a 6.0-liter Power Stroke maintains coolness under pressure.

The rest of the package includes 38-inch tires, a six-inch lift with rear springs from an F-550, and tinted windows for privacy and keeping all cool in the hot sun. We don’t know what the interior looks like, but we like to think it’s a nice place to be after a hard day on the job.

The North Dakota-based seller is asking $12,500 or best offer for the F-250. He’s also open to trades.

Should this truck not be what you seek, however, you’re bound to find the one at our Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace sooner than you think.
