Ford versus Ford: Tuned F-150 Tremor Races Tuned F-150 5.0

Don’t you love boost? Even without tinkering Ford’s Ecoboost is a solid performer. It’s the tinkering, however, that separates the bland from the beastly.

Admittedly, “beastly” is too strong a descriptor for this truck. Still, it’s pretty quick. The engine has been tuned for 93 octane. There are no power numbers or anything, but it’s clearly got enough in it to outrun a (modded!) 5-liter F-150.

As nice as this is, I can’t help but feel like the Tremor should’ve come with a power upgrade anyway. The truck is an ecoboost with an appearance package. Maybe Ford didn’t want to spend the cash to develop on an outgoing model—this stuff costs money. Still, chipping the Tremor feels like what Ford should’ve done.
