Real ‘Car King’ Has a Seriously Amazing Collection of Ford Vehicles

By -

Galpin’s Beau Boeckmann has an enviable fleet of Ford vehicles including some very cool vintage and modern iron.

We’ve seen some amazing car collections in our time. But when we came across this recent video from our friends at the Petersen Automotive Museum, we immediately thought we’d found the coolest Ford collection short of walking into Jay Leno’s personal garage. This amazing and diverse lineup belongs to Beau Boeckmann. Boeckmann, a former Pimp My Ride star, currently works at Galpin Auto Sports. He also stars in a new Discovery series called Car Kings, which documents the awesome builds under construction at GAS.

Petersen teamed up with Boeckmann to show this incredible private collection, which means that we get to go on a virtual tour of it as well. And right off the bat, it becomes quite obvious that the Car King is a huge Ford fan. He shows off one of the coolest cars he currently owns.

“This is the car that really started the whole show off,” Boeckmann said. “A 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition. And believe it or not, this is the first new car I ever bought.”

If you’re a fan of the classics, things only get better from here when Boeckmann walks over to a long line of amazing Mustangs. A 1965 Shelby GT350 might be the crown jewel of this part of the collection, however.

“Galpin Ford was actually the first Shelby dealer in California,” Boeckmann says. “Carroll Shelby himself dropped off the first batch of cars. This could be one of them–this actually came from Galpin Ford in 1965.”

Aside from a new, never-driven Shelby GT500, Boeckmann has a ton of additional vintage Ford iron to show off. Including a crazy, four-engine Mustang called Mach 4. But just when you think that can’t be topped, Boeckmann shows us one of the coolest Econoline pickups we’ve ever seen. “This is a Galpin exhibition drag car, the Backup Pickup” he says. “The drivetrain is completely reversed, so it actually drives backwards at 120 mph doing wheelies.”

If you prefer beefy Ford Broncos, Boeckmann has one of those, too. “This was actually one of the cars we sponsored for off-road racing called Uncle Bob’s Bouncing Bronco,” he says. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing this truck up close, and it is amazing.

Altogether, it’s easy to see that Boeckmann has one of the most amazing car collections around. And it’s only fitting that a good half of it consists of Ford vehicles of pretty much every vintage. So if you’re into cool collections as much as we are, be sure and check out the entire video and see what amazing rides you can spot!
