Ford Romania Celebrates a Milestone Ken Block Style

Ford’s EcoBoost engines are sold around the world in a large variety of vehicles. Aside from the engine production facility in Cleveland, Ohio, engines are also built in Romania. Recently, they hit a bit of a milestone in production; they produced their 400,000th EcoBoost engine! To celebrate, they created a Gymkhana style video.

However, instead of tackling the streets of San Francisco, this video takes place mostly inside the engine production facility itself. Instead of dodging cones, the driver is dodging engine blocks.

Acknowledging that they were inspired by Ford Racing driver Ken Block, the 6 minute video is pure Ford Fiesta rally porn. Maybe when they’re done with the recall on my Fiesta, they’ll do the same upgrades to my Fiesta as well?

If you haven’t noticed, Ford is EcoBoosting practically every vehicle they make. They actually have a goal of offering an EcoBoost engine as an option on every vehicle, and they’re pretty close to succeeding.

When they do, they’ll hit more milestones than just this one, as they produce more and more of the boosted beauties.
