Ford Re-Opens 2023 Mustang Mach-E Orders with Lower Prices, Improved Range, and Faster Charging Times
Ford dropped the prices for 2023 Mustang Mach-E BEVs by up to $4,000 while adding horsepower and range to Standard Range Battery models.
Ford will re-open orders for the 2023 Mustang Mach-E tomorrow, following several plant upgrades. In addition to increased production capabilities, the automaker also revealed a series of feature improvements, including an increased range for standard-range battery models, targeting an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles for RWD and 226 miles for eAWD.
The production increase is part of Ford’s plan to scale electric vehicles and make them more accessible and affordable for customers. Ford’s electric vehicle lineup also includes the full-size F-150 Lightning truck and the E-Transit van.
Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer at Ford Model e, stated, “We continue to find ways to improve the value of the Mustang Mach-E. Upgraded BlueCruise rolling out for new and existing Mustang Mach-E owners, increased range and faster DC charging times on standard range models show how we are relentlessly improving our products for our customers.”
Going forward, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, will power all standard-range models, which results in an extra 45 horsepower as well as more range. (250 miles for RWD and 226 miles for eAWD.) Furthermore, standard range models can now charge to 100% more frequently via AC home charging. When on the road, 10%-80% DC fast charging takes only 33 minutes, a 5-minute improvement.
BlueCruise, Ford’s hands-free driving technology, will now be available on all Mustang Mach-E SUVs with a complimentary 90-day trial. Customers can then activate the technology through a subscription or include a 3-year subscription as part of the vehicle purchase. Ford has an in-house team dedicated to constantly improving BlueCruise, with new features including hands-free lane changes and In-Lane Repositioning.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Updated Pricing
The Mustang Mach-E qualifies for a potential Inflation Reduction Act federal tax credit of $3,750 here in 2023. As you can see from the above pricing, 2023 Mustang Mach-E prices are down across the board.
